The European Journal of Palliative Care  (EJPC)

The European Journal of Palliative Care (EJPC) was established in 1993 to provide an information and communication resource for professionals across Europe involved in the provision of palliative care.

The EJPC is the journal of the European Association for Palliative Care (EAPC) and as such serves to keep members and non-members alike up-to-date on the key activities, goals and strategic direction of the EAPC. It aims to contribute to the advancement of skills and expertise offered by the diverse range of individuals involved in the provision of palliative care across Europe.

The EJPC is mainly a review-based journal whose content covers all aspects of the care of patients with advanced, incurable diseases, and contributions are welcomed from members of every discipline involved in palliative care. We also welcome relevant original research papers, which will be considered for publication on their merit, length and topic.

Published bimonthly, the journal is available in English.

The journal is designed to be of direct and practical relevance to the following professional groups: palliative care specialists, GPs, nurses (whether home- or hospital/hospice-based), medical and clinical oncologists, anaesthetists and pain specialists, geriatricians, Aids specialists, psychiatrists/psychologists, social workers and site specialists (eg gastroenterologists, chest physicians, gynaecologists).

The EJPC has an experienced editorial team. The editor is Dr Andrew Hoy and the deputy editors are: Dr Carol Davis, UK and Dr Philippe Poulain, France.

The EJPC is available on subscription only and there are four types to choose from:

Bronze: Provides an online, read-only version of the journal that can be read on screen for a minimum outlay

Silver: Combines the benefits of the Bronze subscription, together with the back catalogue of articles from 1998 onwards on screen

Gold: Is the paper-based full issue of the journal

Platinum: Combines the benefits of Bronze, Silver and Gold in one package

EAPC members enjoy a discounted rate on Gold and Platinum subscriptions.
