Cardiff University in the UK offers an online programme in palliative care education. This internationally renowned programme has been successfully operating for 15 years. It has evolved from the original Diploma in Palliative Medicine that was provided by the former University of Wales College of Medicine in Cardiff. In 2004, UWCM merged with Cardiff University.

The Center for Palliative Care Education is an educational resource center and training program. Its mission is to improve palliative care for people with HIV/AIDS by increasing the knowledge, skills, and comfort level of clinicians to provide this care.

Antea FORMAD is the Training and Research Center in Palliative Medicine of the Antea Association, and it is certified ISO 9100:2000. Since 2003 it organizes a Post-Graduate Master Course in Palliative Medicine for doctor, nurses and general practitioners, with the University of “Tor Vergata” (Rome, Italy). It organizes also Congresses, Seminars and Training Courses on Palliative Medicine at national and international level, and accredited to the Italian Health Ministry.

Diplôme d'études supérieures spécialisées en pastorale de la santé

L'Université Laval offrira dès septembre 2008 un programme de formation unique préparant à intervenir en pastorale clinique dans le milieu de la santé et des services sociaux (aumônerie en milieu hospitalier). Dans une vision holistique et interdisciplinaire des soins de santé, le programme propose une formation à la fois théorique et pratique axée sur l'acquisition des connaissances, des habiletés et des attitudes nécessaires à l’accompagnement des personnes aux prises avec la maladie, la souffrance et la mort, dans le respect de leurs convictions et de leur situation au plan spirituel et religieux. Il s'agit d'une formation à temps plein (sept. 2008 - avril 2009), offerte en français dans la ville de Québec (Canada).
