The conference is for people who are involved in or would like to learn more about international hospice and palliative care. We are delighted to have speakers from several International Organizations
including the World Health Organisation Programme on Cancer Control,
the Open Society Institute (USA) and the Department for International
Development (UK) to speak on issues surrounding the international promotion
of hospice and palliative care.In the afternoon, the focus will be on
UK agencies working in hospice and palliative care including speakers
from the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund, The International Observatory
on End of Life Care, and Hospice of Hope Romania. With the AIDS pandemic
and the ever growing need for hospice and palliative care in the developing
