clarifying the question: How to perform cutting-edge research?
MEET THE EXPERTS AND TUTORIAL SESSIONS
Up to 8 parallel sessions of 45 minutes for each morning with
2 experts per session an opportunity to meet and to discuss
specific research issues. The emphasis lies on expert –
participant interaction with limited visual presentations.

3 sessions in plenary of 60 minutes.
PARALLEL SESSIONS (IN CONTEMPORANEOUS IN 4 HALLS)
Ten
Themed Research Sessions
2 Co-chairs moderated the presentations of 3 to 4 invited
speakers.
Sixteen
New Research Data Sessions (Free communications):
2 Co-chairs moderated and discussed the presentations of 6
to 8 selected abstracts. Each abstract was allocated 8 minutes
for presentation and 5 minutes for discussion.
2
Satellite Workshops
Company sponsored workshops placed in parallel in the programme
without competing with sessions of the same subjects of the
Scientific programme.
POSTERS
Poster
viewing sessions (in exclusive time slots)
The majority of the participants were involved in the presentation
of a poster. The required time slot to be present at the poster
was split and limited to 30 minutes, to permit poster presenters
to also view the other posters.
Poster
guided tours during the poster viewing sessions
As a further tutorial opportunity, faculty offered visits
together with a group of participants some faculty-selected
posters of an abstract category.
Two
Poster Discussion Sessions (as parallel sessions)
All posters were reviewed by the coordinators of the poster
discussion sessions, who had selected posters and commented
and discussed them in the dedicated sessions.
