Mission
Statement
My
objective is to contribute to the growth and dissemination
of Palliative Care in Europe by actively working within
the EAPC organization. With a decade of clinical experience
as a palliative care nurse, I have gained valuable skills
in the caring for terminally ill patients and their
families. During this time I have been participating
in various local and national workgroups.
This
has given me insights and experience into the opportunities
and challenges of working in multicultural- and multilingual
teams, as well as the chance to contribute to the development
of Palliative Care on an institutional and organisational
level. Within the context of continuing education (Master
of Advanced Studies in Palliative Care) I am currently
in the process of designing and conducting a research
in the field of Palliative Sedation Therapy –
ethics and ethical decisions at the end of life are
at the core of my interests.
I
speak fluent French, English, Italian and German and
hope to contribute to a fruitful exchange of information
and ideas among the various countries. As a nurse actively
involved in receiving and providing continuous education
in Palliative Care and with years of clinical work,
I am hoping to bring a patient-centred, holistic vision
to EAPC and to contribute in a meaningful way. I embrace
the organization’s vision of promoting palliative
care in Europe and worldwide, so that high quality care
is accessible to all. |
